National Cancer Institute
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) coordinates the government's cancer research program. NCI is the largest of the 17 biomedical research institutes and centers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It is located just outside Washington, DC, in Bethesda, Maryland. NCI's Website for cancer patients, the public, and the mass media where you will find news and information on many of its programs and resources. This site is managed by the Office of Cancer Communications.
