Liz Pietras, MD

 

Liz is the Division Director of Breast Imaging at Maine Medical Center. She is a native of Maine and attended Bowdoin College where she studied biochemistry. She received her medical degree from Tufts Medical School and did her internship in Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Body Imaging at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She has also received additional training in breast imaging.

Liz returned to Maine and joined Spectrum Medical Group in 1997 and now works primarily out of the Maine Medical campus in Scarborough. She is involved with the residency program at Maine Medical Center and enjoys teaching residents and medical students.

She lives in Scarborough with her husband and two children. Liz enjoys the outdoors and spends her free time skiing, running and biking.

Liz was the recipient of the Cure Breast Cancer for ME award for Medical Care in 2005 and will be participating in her second Tri for the Cure this year!
