Barbara Grillo

 

Background

Barbara has been serving as the Director of the Maine Medical Center Cancer Institute since January 2010. During the previous 3 years, she held a similar role at MMC as Director of the Neuroscience Institute. She has also served as the Executive Director of Exeter Hospital, the Chief Planning Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President for Human Resources at Southern Maine Medical Center and the Assistant Vice President for Professional Services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Barbara has had experience as an independent health care consultant and lecturer in hospital management at several universities.

Education

Barbara holds a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Cornell University.

Family

Barbara resides in Kennebunk with her husband and has 3 children.
