Andrew Hertler, MD

 

Andrew is a medical oncologist and hematologist who has served in Central Maine since 1996. He is the medical director of MaineGeneral’s Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care in Augusta and provides cancer care at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

His professional interests include general medical oncology, clinical trials, and research aimed at development of "Best Practices in Community Cancer Programs."

Andrew received his medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed his residency at University of Michigan affiliated hospitals. He later completed an oncology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Andrew is affiliated with the American Society of Hematology, as well as the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
